Kinder Treasure Hunt

For kindergarteners we spent our 3rd day in the garden going on a treasure hunt as a way to explore the garden, to get familiar with the space, and to develop cooperation. Students worked in pairs to survey the garden space and to decide on a treasure together. During the activity we talked about what we discovered and why it is important to us or the garden. At the end they all gathered around the big garden table and shared their findings. It turns out that most liked their items because of their colors and textures. Here is a photo from our treasure tray of all the gems that one of our kinder classes found.
