On Earth Day last week our 5th graders were visited by Felisia and AeJay from the San Francisco Department of the Environment. Felisia and AeJay came to the classroom to teach our students about water pollution and its effects (particularly in our region), biomagnification, the wastewater treatment process, and water conservation. They led us through fun activities, such as the rain clap and the reenactment of water pollution in the San Francisco Bay. At the end of the day each student received a certificate and a stamp of completion after filling out 3 ways that they will conserve water in their own communities. Thank you Felisia and AeJay for coming out to visit us!
