“A little sweet and a little sour”

One of the most popular plants in the garden this fall is our apple tree!  Kindergarten and first grade students practiced drawing like scientists, paying close attention to shape, detail and color.

First grade students wrote “I wonder…” sentences.

Many wondered what the apples would taste like, and were happy they had a chance to address that curiosity at the end of class!

This year we had enough apples for every grade to try them…

And have discovered that they’re the perfect way to end middle school Green Club Meetings!

We can’t get enough! Looking forward to more next fall!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away! What a great way for everyone to be healthy, all from AFY’s very own apple tree 😉

  2. There’s nothing better than hearing students beg to harvest and eat produce from the garden!
